The table is made in Burma teak wood with its natural outer bark intact. Other than that all natural cracks and crevices are carefully cleaned, sanded and finally hand polished in olive oil. Cracks that seem to develop further and split the plank in future are bound with dovetail keys made in hardwood and inserted into the cracks. This method was used by the famous 20th century furniture maker- George Nakashima.
